Every Sunday, 95.5 KLAQ brings you 2 hours of the latest national rock release & we shine the spotlight on local rock from El Paso & around the Borderland: The Q rocks 5-7pm with Q Connected.

This week we're getting into the metal spirit with Las Cruces's own Cordova. A band that took some time off but will be back opening up for the Sublime With Rome/Alien Ant Farm show at Speaking Rock September 10th.

Another Las Cruces artist, Rivers Ventura, who will be opening up for The Jins in September

We have metal from Juarez; Coventry is coming back onto the show with a new single.

And of course we can't forget El Paso's own bands: Against the Edge will be making their debut this week, the all-girl band Acid Wave returns, Glass Townes will be heard again on Sunday's show, the El Paso band that has some very special memories with Dimebag Darrell, the P. Razors, & many more.

On the national side, we'll hear one of the biggest metal bands of all the time: the return of Megadeth. They announced that their 16th studio album The Sick, The Dying... and The Dead, will be released September 2nd. Last week their 3rd single was released & we'll hear it at the start of the show.

And since Papa Roach will bringing some of their friends (Bad Wolves, Falling In Reverse & Hollywood Undead) to Speaking Rock very soon on the 27th, we'll hear a song from all of the bands to get us ready for that Saturday's concert.

If you're an artist from El Paso & if you perform within 200 miles of El Paso, you can send your music for the next Q Connected right HERE or send me an email at daniel.paulus@townsquaremedia.com
