Celebrate Mother's Day & The Mars Volta This Weekend In El Paso

Every Sunday afternoon from 5 to 7pm, 95.5 KLAQ brings you the latest national releases & we shine the spotlight on local rock from El Paso and around the Borderland. We call this two hour block: Q-Connected.

This Sunday is extra special because May 14th is Mother Day

That's right; we're taking this week to say thank you to all the moms all there. And we have some moms who rock from El Paso. Including You're The Alibi, Brittney's Rage & Go Axe Alice. That's not the only thing Q Connected is celebrating on Sunday

It's the same day that The Mars Volta will be playing El Paso at the Abraham Chavez Theater. So we WILL hear some extra MV to get us hyped for this weekend's show. You can also see some interesting facts about The Mars Volta here. Other locals include Steellake, Scairat, Ojo Malo & more.

We can't forget about the national artists

We have the new songs from Bad Omens & Hardy; songs that prove that both artists are here to stay. We'll hear the Austin folk rock band Under the Rug, the latest from Atreyu, Queens of the Stone Age & much more.
