Sunday afternoons, from 5 to 7pm, 95.5 KLAQ blast outs two hours of the latest rock releases & we shine the spotlight on local rock from El Paso & around the Borderland. We call this 2 hour block: Q Connected.

This week we will be showcasing new material from the El Paso band that's signed onto Nuclear Blast records, Scattered Storm. (Not many bands can say they're on a major label...but I'm hoping that changes). Their recent album, In This Dying Sun, has been getting pretty positive reviews from metal websites, Metal Express Radio gave it an 8.4/10.

As The City Sleeps has a brand new song called Embers; that will debut on Sunday's Q Connected. You can see their recent music video for We Only Have Tonight below.

The band Allway Drive, after teasing for a LONG WHILE, will finally appear on the show with a brand new song that's also debuting on Q Connected. You can hear their song "Wildfire" that they officially released this week.

Other local artists for this week include Rivers Ventura, Shadow Valley, The Sullivans Xminus1 & more.

On the national side we have a Journey cover that the internet has been buzzing all about, Daughtry & Lzzy Hale doing Separate Ways, a song by the Oregon band Silver Talon that has an El Paso bassist playing with the band, the Orlando Florida band, Alive in Stone & many more.

If you're from El Paso (you perform within 200 miles of El Paso), Texas or New Mexico, you can send your songs for Q Connected right here or send me an email at daniel.paulus@townsquaremedia.com

Join me for Q Connected, 5-7pm, on 95.5 KLAQ.
