Rock Out With The Mars Volta Before Their El Paso Homecoming Show
Every Sunday afternoon, from 5 to 7pm, 95.5 KLAQ brings you two hours of the latest national rock releases, regional rock from Texas & the Southwest, and of course local rock from El Paso & around the Borderland. We call this 2 hour block: Q Connected.
With the announcement of The Mars Volta performing at the Abraham Chavez Theater on May 14th (the first time they're playing in El Paso since 2008), we will be hearing not one, not two, but 3 new songs off the new Mars Volta album.
And in addition to playing the songs, we will give you 2 chances to win tickets for the May 14th show DURING Sunday's Q Connected. So make sure to listen in for your chances to win.
If you want to see some facts about The Mars Volta that, perhaps, you never knew, you can find plenty here.
They're not the only local band we'll hear this week either. We have The Deep Shadows & Yoloti returning to the show, King Kalopsia debuting this week & a couple of artists with brand new songs for Q Connected:
- Allway Drive,
- Hollywood Bitch,
- Julio Ortega (an El Pasoan has been going viral lately making music with animals) & plenty more.
We also have new songs from Devora, Muse, Papa Roach, Skillet & Post Profit (one of many Texas bands you need to check out), and many more.
If you live within 200 miles of El Paso & want to send your music for the show, you can send your tunes right here.
Q Connected, Sunday afternoon, 5-7pm, on 95.5 KLAQ.
