The weather this weekend is going to be beautiful and, with many places beginning to reopen, you'll have lots of options for rest stops.

This weekend, the weather here in the El Paso area will be perfect for a ride. With highs in the low 90's, lows in the upper 60's and light winds, it's a perfect time to get in the wind. Especially since riding your motorcycle is kind of the ultimate in social distancing. You and a couple of friends, a safe distance apart, waving instead of shaking hands ...  it's perfect. (As for your passenger, they will probably have a helmet on in case a sneeze should slip out and I don't think the coronavirus holds up well at 70mph anyway.)

There are many places around here to go and pandemic related closures won't really affect you. Most restaurants are open so, you can grab lunch and a drink. Gas stations are open so, no problem fueling up. The rides around here are very scenic so, about all you really need is food, a cold one or two and some gas. Sure, some areas and attractions are still closed but, the destination isn't really as big a deal as the ride back and forth!

With that in mind, here are links to some articles I've written about some of my favorite places to ride to. Again, some businesses and places may be closed or not operating normally but, they're still great rides.
