Celtic center Jason Collins made history today as he became the first active NBA player to come out as gay. Former player John Ameche came out a couple of years ago, but that was after he had retired from the NBA. Also, he's British, so that hardly counts. 34 year old Collins, however, is still active in the league. '

In honor of Jason Collins' courageous announcement, I've compiled a list of my top 15 NBA terms that sound gay.

Horrific. Louisville's Kevin Ware went up to block a shot in the first half of the Cardinals' game vs. Duke, but his leg snapped like a twig when he came down. It was bad enough to make both head coaches cry and devastate the Louisville sideline. The Cardinals recovered to beat Duke and move into the Final Four.

A high school basketball tournament in Westchester, NY, ended with a crazy buzzer-beater yesterday. The score was Mt. Vernon 60, New Rochelle 58 with 2.9 seconds left. A Mt. Vernon player stole the inbound pass and just tossed the ball up in the air to burn the rest of the clock. Not a bad idea. He just didn't throw it high enough. New Rochelle's Khalid Edney caught it, shot it...and swished it from 55 feet away to win the game!
