Just when we think we can be friends with robots, Philadelphia residents had to go and ruin it for the rest of America.

hitchBOT was created in Port Credit, Ontario, where it started it's journey to travel the world. It did reach some success back in 2014 as it made a 26-day journey as it “traveled over 10,000 km from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Victoria, British Columbia.”

After making it through three countries, the hitchbot made it to America and was destroyed. Yes, someone in Philadelphia decided to rip apart the robot. It did make it through Beantown, Gloucester, Marblehead, and New York City, but it's journey has ended.
