
Texas Issues Warning To Wannabe Texans
Texas has always taken a lot of pride in itself and Texans in themselves. Sometimes maintaining a sense of exclusivity while playing up our friendly attitude.
Jokes like "Welcome To Texas, Now Go Home" for example. Seriously, we are friendly and very engaging but we also don't want anyone coming in with plans to change anything about us. That attitude has sparked a new line of jokes along the lines of that one.
Californians in particular have been flocking to Texas lately for a number of reasons. Many Texans are worried that some of their Caly ways will begin to take hold here.
What Could Transplants Do To Texas?
I'd hazard a guess most Texans worry about the typically red state going blue. That's a possibility if enough people come here with those views and start voting.

Most are here because they didn't like the way things were where they're from though so, you would think, they'd wouldn't want to recreate that here.
Some do though, hence the "serious" joking.
Some Good "Stay Outta Texas" Jokes
Some of my favorite reasons non-Texans should stay home include the weather. For example, Texas doesn't have "weather", it's more like "mood swings". A brisk morning could be followed by a humid, hurricane force wind blown afternoon and then a torrential rain with flooding of biblical proportions.
This letter I found on Facebook serves as the best "dissuader" I've seen yet.
None of that is true, of course but if it keeps even one potential boat rocker or In and Out burger fan home; we'll keep spreading rumors just like this. Don't Mess With Texas, ya'll ... and watch out for all the Chupacabras.
