Watch El Paso PD Drop the Mic with Their Epic Rap Video

Believe it or not, our very own El Paso men & women in blue loved making music videos (at least during the 1990's). You might not remember the song they gave us decades ago but once you hear it, you will never forget it.

In 1992, the EPPD gave us a rap music video

You probably remember all the music videos from the 90's telling us to "not do drugs". Well the El Paso Police Department did their OWN video warning people to not follow a life of a crime. That video was called "Think Twice".

When you watch this video, you'll definitely hear how "dated" the music sounds and yet...there's something charming about that old early-90's sound set to police officers rapping about keeping our city safe...

This isn't the only music video created by the EPPD

In 2015, the El Paso Police Department made their OWN version of Redlight King's "Born to Rise". However they inserted a couple clips of officers on duty in between clips of the band performing. According to the El Paso Times, the officers that were responsible for making this video got in a bit of trouble for making the video and were told to not do it again.

Nevertheless, the video IS still up on YouTube for us to watch.

This wasn't even the last time we've seen local police officers sing; some Las Cruces police officers did a lip sync challenge to Toby Keith's "Should've Been a Cowboy". By the way, even Toby himself said they did a great job.
