I love concerts & March 27th was a pure example of WHY: amazing music, amazing energy, everyone was having a good time... it was a great night. The last time From Ashes to New came to El Paso was back in 2018, opening up for Papa Roach at Speaking Rock. They brought the "Still Panicking Tour" to the Rockhouse in 2022 & they came back in full force.

Before we talk about FATN, let's talk about the other bands that night. The opening band was the nu-metal band, Above Snakes, from Boston, Massachusetts. I never heard them before but I was surprised by their high energy. They were a precursor for what was to come that night...

Kingdom Collapse was next & they were the first of two Texas bands performing. The hard rock quartet was actually featured on the Q-Connected that very night so actually SEEING "Save Me From Myself" was even better in a live setting. When I told them after the set, they were very appreciative of the fact & even threw in some extra stickers with the shirt I bought. I also loved that the bassist was rocking a Whataburger shirt too.

The international sensation from Finland, Blind Channel was next & this was a band that my girlfriend REALLY was digging. They definitely had the energy & charisma to wow over the crowd, including me. One interesting thing that happened AFTER the show was a fan page on Instagram found my posts & reposted them; with my credit of course.

The penultimate band of the night was Fire From The Gods, from Austin, Texas. This was my 2nd time seeing them live; the first was back in 2019 when they opened up for Bad Wolves, Three Days Grace & Five Finger Death Punch at the Don Haskins. I KNEW they were going to be heavy but MAN... they were much heavier this time around.

And then of course we finally come to main attraction: From Ashes to New.

I remembered what Matt said in our interview... about how this tour was this is the moment that everyone in the band said "we've made it". Being there at the front of the stage, people all around us, singing & screaming at the top of their lungs... it felt like an entire stadium was cheering that night. Needless to say, I definitely understood where Matt was coming from.

And it wouldn't be a FATN show without a cover & they did not disappoint...

The show was incredible & I'm thankful I got to enjoy myself. I definitely look at that night as a reminder to... live life as much as you can. Enjoy yourself & have fun because you never know what will happen tomorrow...
