I love Flamin' Hot Cheetos! They're my favorite chip. I love Hot Cheetos with cheese, Hot Cheetos with lime juice, Hot Cheetos with Valentina Hot Sauce. I'm starting to sound like that guy with the shrimp in Forrest Gump. But seriously, Hot Cheetos are the best, I get heart burn a lot now that I'm older but I don't stop eating them! What is it about them that makes them addicting?

Whatever it is that makes them addicting makes me want to thank the creator of them. Richard Montanez. If you don't know the story of him, let me give you the cliff's notes version. Richard started as a janitor at a Frito-Lay plant in California. A son of immigrants he was once quoted saying:

"If I'm gonna be a janitor, I'm gonna be the BEST janitor at Frito-Lay,"

He worked his way up the ladder and was inspired to add spices to the Cheetos after seeing an elote in a cup, which is corn in a cup with added butter, cheese and chili power and/or hot sauce. He eventually convinced the Frito-Lay president on the idea and it then became their most popular product and Montanez became a pioneer in multicultural marketing for the company.

Well, as a lover of Hot Cheetos I was so excited to see Variety reporting a movie is in the works on the life of Richard Montanez! It will be titled "Flamin' Hot" because of course! Fox Searchlight will produce after what was apparently a project that many studios wanted. No word yet on when production will start or who will act in it. Let me know who you would like to see star in "Flamin' Hot" as Richard Montanez!
