El Pasoans economically impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic who need assistance with their water bills only have a couple of weeks left to apply for help.

El Paso Water is offering help to customers who are having trouble paying their bills due to the COVID 19 pandemic and the economic troubles it has caused so many of them. Time to seek these benefits is running out though as the deadline to apply is November 30th.

Thanks to a utility assistance grant, El Paso Water can issue qualifying customers a credit of up to $500, toward past due balances. The eligibility requirements posted at epwater.org state that applicants must:

  • live within El Paso city limits and in the residence for which assistance is being requested
  • meet the household low-income thresholds (Find yours on this page)
  • demonstrate loss of income as a result of COVID-19
  • have an active and verifiable residential account with El Paso Water

It is important that those in need of this help apply soon though. Not only to beat the November 30th deadline but also because the funds themselves are limited. Those seeking aid should also know that they are not eligible for this credit if they are already receiving any other funding to help them with water utility assistance.
