An El Paso Independent School District teacher has a good shot at making the cover of a fitness magazine and today is the last day you can vote for her.

Clarissa Marquez, at teacher at El Paso High School, needs your help to land on the cover of Ms. Health & Fitness magazine and collect a check for $20,000. Clarissa is currently in first place but, with voting continuing through tonight, that could change so let's help her out. Cast your vote for her here.

According to episd.com, these are Clarissa's favorite things about being physically fit:

“It builds confidence and pushes us to keep improving. Fitness is not solely rooted in the body but with our emotional state as well. Fitness has rescued me from my darkest days and has given me lifelong friends along the way.”

If Clarissa wins the coveted cover, she also gets $20K which she plans to spend pursuing her master's degree and buying things for her classroom. In addition to the magazine competition, Clarisa had also applied for NBC’s “The Titan Games." Things were progressing there when COVID- 19 shut everything down. While going through all the application steps though, she also earned a shot at competing on “American Ninja Warrior.”  Clarissa is also a competitive bodybuilder and enjoys roller derby.

Voting ends tonight ... a countdown clock is running at the voting site ... so, cast your vote for Clarissa here. Voting is free but you can also purchase votes and, in Clarissa's case, that money goes to the Wounded Warrior Project.
