Hey El Paso, I'm Stephanie. I also answer to Stephanie the Corporate Computer Babe, Smethanie and "Yo, crazy chick!" You can hear me bringing the best of the Web to the air Wednesdays on the Morning Show. Oh, and you can find me on Facebook and Twitter, too. Happy browsing!
Last week, we (I, since everyone besides Teresa is against me) brought you KLAQ's first Hunk of the week in nerdy Sean. This week I couldn't decide between the hunky men who submitted, so I need you to help me in our first Hunk-Off! (Oh, and at the bottom of this you'll find a sexy pic of me to apologize to the men of El Paso for the hunks!)
There's probably a reason I'm called Stephanie the Corporate Computer Babe and not Stephanie the Corporate Cupcake Baker. I got the urge to be all domestic this weekend and get my bake (and nerd) on by making Super Mario cupcakes. Seemed e
Despite the Morning Show being on vacation last week, it's been a busy week on KLAQ.com, where we NEVER go on vacation! Check out some of my favorite things from the site this past week that you may have missed:
It's a mashup! Check out all the rockin' highlights from the KLAQ Morning Show's trip to Austin for SXSW! We put the best of the best into one kick-ass video, including interviews and performances by Foxy Shazam, The Features, Dr. John, The Pierces, Electric Touch, Dead Sara and El Paso's own Dirty River Boys. It's a little something to keep you from missing the Morning Show so much while they're on vacation.
Miss some of our coverage of the KLAQ Morning Show trip to Austin? Not to fear! Stephanie the Corporate Computer Babe to the rescue! I put together links to everything SXSW here for you, including videos of performances and interviews with bands, photos from Buzz's trip to the haberdashery and images from around downtown Austin. You ca
Bruce Springsteen was not only a keynote speaker at the SXSW festival in Austin this week, he also put on quite the performance with the E Street Band, bringing members of Arcade Fire and the Animals on stage with him.
While wandering around downtown Austin during SXSW, I met a pretty kickass, sexy band - Vanity Theft.
I caught up with guitarist Brittany Hill and singer-keyboardist Alicia Grodecki near Congress Street and they introduced me to the rest of the band's members outside Rusty's, where the band performed Thursday night at 10 p.m.
I'm now home from Austin after spending several days with Buzz, Teresa and Duke, stalking celebrities and bands and bringing the performances inside our SXSW studio to you in El Paso. It was a whirlwind of a trip, check out my play-by-play of events: Wednesday, March 14
While most of our time at the SXSW festival in Austin was spent in our Four Seasons studio, interviewing bands and broadcasting the KLAQ Morning Show, I did get a chance to sneak out and explore the city. There were plenty of odd and unusual sights to see and I made sure to take plenty of pictures for you guys!
The band The Features stopped by KLAQ's Austin studios during the SXSW Festival, chatted with Buzz, Duke and Teresa and performed a couple of songs.
The band's song "From Now On" was featured on the "Breaking Dawn" soundtrack. Even if sparkly vampires aren't your thing, you've probably found yourself nodding your head to the Ford Mustang commercial featuring their song, "How it Starts."
