Hafthór Björnsson is an Icelandic actor, former professional basketball player and a strongman competitor. He is best known for playing "The Mountain," or Gregor Clegane, on the popular HBO series Game of Thrones. Björnsson just broke a 1,000 year-old record by lifting a 30 ft-long log, weighing 1,433 pounds on his shoulders. Björnsson was able to carry the log 5 steps, which hasn't been done since Orm Storolfson when it was used as a mast of a viking ship. Storolfson allegedly carried the log three steps before his back broke. Björnsson, whose last name translates to "bear," is hoping to reach his ultimate goal, to be the World's Strongest Man.
