Were You Affected by the Wild Weather in El Paso Yesterday?
Yesterday the weather took a turn for the worse in the evening and many El Pasoans found themselves in sticky situations on the road.

Once the rain started coming down, meteorologists and emergency officials started warning people to stay home and get off the roads. But of course, some people thought their vehicles could handle it and headed out into the storm. From there, several areas in town began seeing rushing water and some businesses and homes started seeing floodwaters in their homes.
The owner of Crimson Veil Tattoo Joshua put a video on his Instagram of his businesses flooding from the rushing water seen on Piedras street from the storm.
A couple of exits down the freeway, water was seen pouring from parking area of the Jimmy Johns sandwich store on Airway. The FitFam Instagram posted a compilation video of all the crazy weather videos they received from different people and it looks like the eastside was hammered with the bad rain. A couple of weeks ago the westside was hit but mother nature is balanced and decided to unleash her fury on the other side of town this time.
While there were plenty of warnings telling people not to drive in the rain, some people ventured out in their vehicles and proceeded to get stuck. Another video on FitFam showed two vehicles that got stuck in the water and the occupants of those vehicles had to be rescued by law enforcement. Vehicles were seen in the area between I-10 and McRae floating in the high water and ABC7 News captured one of the rescues on video. You can see some of the shocking sights in the video above.
Look, when you see it start pouring rain around town, slow down and turn around. Let's try to make sure our first responders don't have to head out into the dangerous weather just because you thought you could make it through a closed intersection.
