Plaza Classic Prepares for Summer Return of Outdoor Movie Events
Outdoor movies will be part of the Plaza Classic Film Festival again this summer with the return of Plaza Outdoor and the Mills Plaza Drive-in.
The alfresco events will take place on Oregon Street and on the 9th floor of the Mills parking garage.
Movie selections between the two will include Dirty Dancing, Clueless, and the cult classic and El Paso favorite The Rocky Horror Picture Show which will return to Plaza Outdoor for the 14th year.
2022 Plaza Outdoor
On successive Friday and Saturday nights beginning July 29 a free movie will be screened at the intersection of Mills and Oregon Street, just down the street from the Plaza Theatre.
As has become custom, a performance by one of our many talented local bands will precede each movie.
The movies will all start at 9 p.m. with the local musical flavor getting underway at 7:30 p.m. This year’s Plaza Classic theme is women filmmakers, so all four of the artists are female solo artists or female-fronted bands.
