El Paso Is Getting the Ultimate Twilight Concert Experience

Do you still cringe at how much you loved Twilight? Because I don't anymore!

I was 19 when Twilight mania was everywhere, and after finally giving in and reading the book, I was hooked! I was Team Edward, I went to a midnight release of New Moon, and I've officially reached the point in adulthood where I can proudly admit that I loved it.

So hearing that Twilight in Concert is coming to El Paso immediately got my attention.

Twilight in Concert Is Coming to El Paso's Plaza Theatre

Twilight in Concert will take over the Plaza Theatre in Downtown El Paso on Sunday, March 14, 2027, at 6:30 p.m.

This isn't simply watching the 2008 movie on a big screen.

The entire film will be shown on a massive cinema screen while a live band performs the music in sync with the movie. More than 1,000 candles will also illuminate the stage and theater, creating a pretty fitting atmosphere for a return trip to Forks.

Presale begins Wednesday, September 9, at 10 a.m., followed by the general public sale Thursday, September 10, at 10 a.m.

The Plaza Theatre Is Perfect for Twilight

There really couldn't be a better El Paso venue for this.

The historic Plaza Theatre was designed as an atmospheric theater, complete with a ceiling that creates the illusion of sitting beneath a nighttime sky.

Now picture that night sky overhead, more than 1,000 candles glowing around you and Twilight playing on the big screen while the music is performed live.

Suddenly Downtown El Paso is looking a little more like Forks, Washington.

Minus all the rain.

The Twilight Soundtrack Deserves Its Moment

Can we also finally agree that the Twilight soundtrack is REALLY good?

I thought it was amazing when I first heard it at 19, and nearly two decades later, it still holds up.

The movie gave us Muse's “Supermassive Black Hole,” Paramore's “Decode,” and, of course, Carter Burwell's “Bella's Lullaby.”

Hearing “Bella's Lullaby” performed live inside the Plaza Theatre surrounded by candlelight already sounds worth the night out.

But I think we all know which song people are really waiting for: Blue Foundation's “Eyes on Fire.” Or, as a whole lot of Twilight fans now know it: the hoa hoa hoa” song!

You know the one.

Between the live music, the movie, the Plaza Theatre's night sky and more than a thousand candles, Twilight in Concert sounds like a pretty spectacular way to return to Forks.

And this former Team Edward girl is more than ready to admit she's excited.
