I’m really going to try to get back into the habit of bringing you a Mash-up every Monday. A mash-up is two or more songs that have been altered in such as way that they create a whole new song. I’ve always been of the opinion that a truly great mashup involves very different genres of music…the more different the better. And, man, do we have a couple of different musical styles today.

First, it’s the music from Ratt’s “Round and Round”, one of the most recognizable anthems of the hair metal era. Combined with that it’s R&B legend Marvin Gaye doing his 1968 cover version of “I Heard it Through the Grapevine”. It actually works much better than anyone could have guessed.
