Looking For Weird, Local Christmas Gifts? Try These El Paso Shops
Christmas is breathing down our necks so here is another idea to help you buy gifts for your friends and family and support local businesses while you're at it.
So far in my mini - series of articles on how to support local businesses while you do your Christmas shopping, we've covered cowboy boots along with musical instruments, supplies and accessories as well as gift certificates for locally owned restaurants.
Now, how about some weird stuff? You may have someone on your list that has eclectic tastes so, let's find them something to match their ... uniqueness.
How about a life sized dinosaur statue, the Rat Fink carvings from the picture above or an old school, twin engine airplane mounted on huge poles? (Note: That may not really be for sale...)
If any of that fits your bill, stop by the Whoopee Bowl, 9010 N. Desert Blvd.
Know anyone that would be interested in owning Pancho Villa's finger? (Note: That may not really be for sale either.)
It's on display though and they have plenty of other crazy stuff that IS for sale downtown at Dave's, A Pawn Sop, 216 S. El Paso St.
Tooth And Veil Oddities and Macabre Shop. Located at 820 N. Mesa, Tooth and Veil is loaded with creepy, spooky and, as the Addams Family theme says, "all together ooky" stuff.
Got out of town peeps? Send them an El Paso emblazoned souvenir. Chuco Relic, 3750 Gateway East, has an entire store full of cool EP stuff.
