As we learn more and more about the human brain, the more we learn of the benefits of meditating. There's a fantastic series on Netflix called The Mind: Explained. It goes into memory, dreams, anxiety, meditation, and even psychedelic drugs. If you only have time for one episode, watch the fourth episode called Mindfulness. But watch the whole thing if you can.

I've read a lot of books on meditation. I've even watched a lot of videos on meditation. I would say that I do 'okay' with following through and doing it every day. Until now. This is my challenge to myself, and if you'd like to join me in this journey, feel free to come along. I'm going to be dedicated at least 10 minutes a day to meditating. And if there's anything I've learned in all my years of reading and watching videos about meditation is that there isn't a wrong way to do it. Do what works best for you.

Curious about what some advantages to meditating are?

If you would like more info, please, go watch that 4th episode of The Mind: Explained.

In my time of learning about meditating, I've tried many different things. Eyes open, or eyes closed. Music, or no music. Count your breaths, or just breathe. Again, there is no one specific way to meditate. If you need a bit of a nudge, let me help you with that. I just started my 7 day trial of Calm, a meditation app. There's another one called Headspace. I'm going to get through the trial of Calm, and then, I might go through a trial of Headspace to see which one I like better. Feel free to shoot me an email to let me know how your meditation is going, and I'll check in with future articles as well. My email is brandon@buzzadamsshow.com
