Yesterday came the good news that we WILL have a football season this year.  Today, more good news about a few Miners who may be going MAJOR!

4 UTEP Miners have signed training camp contracts!  According to The El Paso Times;

For the past three years, Trevor Vittatoe and Kris Adams formed one of the most productive pass-catch combinations in UTEP history.

Now the duo will try to make a mark together with the Chicago Bears.

Today, the first day NFL teams were allowed to sign their own free agents, draft picks and undrafted players, they were two of four Miners to sign training camp contracts. Offensive lineman Rod Huntley is headed to the Minnesota Vikings, while tailback Donald Buckram signed with Cleveland.

Best of luck to all these guys! I know of a couple of Miners that have made it to the NFL but, until I started really looking into this today, I had no idea that a BUNCH of former Miners have made the NFL cut
