Flea Is NOT Forming A New Group With Former Mars Volta Members

A supposed "supergroup" featuring Flea and ex Mars Volta members is not happening! At least not the way some people think ...

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea recently did some work with former Mars Volta members Omar and Cedric on their new project Antemasque.  However, according to a tweet he sent out yesterday, they are not forming a new group.

Woke to find out I'm in a new supergroup. Hahahaha. Played on some tracks a few weeks ago with my friends omar and Cedric for love that all.

Flea played bass on the Mars Volta debut and trumpet .. yeah, trumpet! .. on their second cd.  Cedric and Omar began their careers here in El Paso with At The Drive In which also featured Jim Ward.

Following At The Drive In, Jim worked with Sparta, as a solo artist and with Sleepercar. He is a co-owner of El Paso's coolest concert venue, Tricky Falls.
