Local Locos - Smokin' Blue Band

The Blues-based El Paso rockers have completed their first EP and will be officially releasing it Friday night!

The Smokin' Blue Band will release their first EP, "The Shutdown Sessions" August 2nd digitally and on CD. I asked them about it and they said:

Recorded over one cold weekend in January, 2019, the band wanted to take a break from gigging and record 3 original tracks to share with the world. Using heavy blues guitar riffs as a firm foundation, the band delivers a mix of modern and traditional blues sounds topped with soulful vocals. This EP serves as an appetizer to the bands first full length album, which is on the horizon.

The CD's release party is Friday night, (8/2), at B17 Bombers Oyster Pub, located at 201 S. El Paso Street. Copies of 'The Shutdown Sessions' will be available at the show and the band will perform at 8pm.
