The 2020 regular season for El Paso Locomotive FC resumes next month, and the club does not yet know how many fans will be allowed to watch home matches at Southwest University Park. Today, they announced a plan that will allow fans a chance to be at every home match but also watch the same game from home if necessary.

"Cutout Conductors" will give anyone a chance to upload a high resolution picture of themselves that will be turned into a cardboard cutout that will be placed on a seat at Southwest University Park for each Locomotive home match. As a bonus, each cutout will be signed by a player from the Locomotive and they will be available to pick up after the season. Cutouts start at just $35 and net proceeds will benefit various COVID-19 relief funds. Fans can upload their photos and sign up online at https://elpasolocomotivefc.regfox.com/cutout-conductors. Cutout Conductors are presented by Estrella Jalisco and Stars Scholarship Fund.

"One of our sales executives saw this idea from a team in Germany and we quickly adapted it for El Paso," Locomotive FC general manager Andrew Forrest, said in the official release. "This is an innovative idea that we thought could be great fun for Locomotive fans, whether they attend the game or not. Dovetailing that with the ability to benefit COVID-19 relief funds, it was a no brainer."

In addition to the Locomotive, the San Francisco Giants offered a similar fan cutout for home games last week for $99 per person.

The eight match home schedule for El Paso Locomotive FC is expected to be released later this week, and the team will be competing in the USL's Group C along with New Mexico United, Colorado Springs Switchbacks, and Real Monarchs.
