Dead Sara rocked Balloonfest 2012 on Saturday, following all the local bands at Wet N Wild Waterpark after a day of hot air balloons, sun, water and beer.

The Los Angeles-based band took the stage at about 5 p.m., opening with "Dear Love" off their self-titled album. They followed that with "Test on My Patience," which they played acoustically when they were by the KLAQ studios last month, and closed the show with the crowd-pleaser, "Weatherman."

After their set, the band members worked the crowd, signing autographs, including a few dudes' chests and selling their CDs. You won't see them selling their own merchandise much longer, because we're sure these guys are glowing to blow up, with upcoming stops on the Warp Tour planned.

During their Balloonfest 2012 performance, lead singer Emily Armstrong climbed down into the crowd frequently, and despite saying she was struggling with El Paso's dry heat, maintained a high level of energy throughout the show.

We chatted with Emily after the show (video coming soon!) and she said she really feels the love when she's in El Paso and when she let the crowd sing along to Weatherman, they knew more lyrics than any other city the band has played recently. In that same interview, Emily talked about making love to the crowd, so you'll definitely want to watch for it to move across the KLAQ.com wall.
