Check Out the Opening Credits to ‘American Horror Story: 1984′
American Horror Story returns this week with their new season and theme: "1984." Yeah, that's right, the year. "1984" This season will bring back Emma Roberts but no Sarah Paulson or Evan Peters who have been regulars since the show premiered back in 2011. During the summer, teasers dropped of the new season that featured a camp and what seemed like an homage to iconic 80's slasher films. One of my favorites included the song "Suddenly Last Summer" by The Motels that really gave it a creepy vibe.
Then, finally, we got a full trailer that gave us details of what this season will be about:
This seasons official synopsis is: "In the summer of 1984, five friends escape Los Angeles to work as counselors at Camp Redwood. As they adjust to their new jobs, they quickly learn that the only thing scarier than campfire tales is the past coming to haunt you."
This season features regular Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd (who came out in Cult & Apocalypse), Cody Fern (who had a breakthrough performance on Apocalypse), Leslie Grossman (of Cult & Apocalypse) and John Carroll Lynch (who played the amazing Twisty the Clown in Freak Show and John Wayne Gacy in Hotel).
As with every season, there's a whole new opening sequence and now Ryan Murphy has revealed what the opening title sequence will be for this new season. It features some bloody synth-pop and some retro fitness video sequences. But of course it features that iconic intro theme song.
American Horror Story: 1984 premieres on Wednesday, September 18 on FX.
