American Horror Story Season 9 Teaser Out But No Evan Peters

Ryan Murphy has officially announced the title/theme for this season's iconic show "American Horror Story." Making the announcement on Instagram, get ready to go back to 1984.

As soon as it was released the internet went crazy. Set to Billy Eilish's "Six Feet Under" many were upset that it's called "1984" but has a modern song. But, as we all know, one teaser never tells us the whole story (looking at you season 6!). It left a lot of room for speculation.

1984 was a big year in horror. The teaser is very reminiscent of the Friday the 13th franchise, but in 1984 they released Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter. But other icons were also released that year like A Nightmare on Elm Street, Children of the Corn, Silent Night, Deadly Night, Firestarter, and the cult classic C.H.U.D. As a loyal viewer of "AHS" you may notice that in every season Murphy and co-creator Brad Falchuk like to reference the horror classics, so I'm sure that this season will be FILLED with references.

"AHS" regular Emma Roberts has already been confirmed to return for season 9 with Olympic silver medalist freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy slated to play Roberts' love interest. Sarah Paulson along with Evan Peters has appeared in every season of "AHS" and while we haven't heard a confirmation from Paulson, Evan Peters has definitely confirmed that he won't be involved in this season of "AHS."
