Every Sunday afternoon from 5 to 7pm, 95.5 KLAQ gives you two hours of the latest rock releases & we blast out plenty of great local rock from El Paso & around the Borderland. We call this weekly dose: Q-Connected.

It's a celebration this week because it IS the Fourth of July weekend & while you're out celebrating our freedom with your family, friends (or perhaps by yourself), you can enjoy the celebration while listening to some of the greatest El Paso artists.

Bands like the Pissing Razors, one of the loudest bands to represent El Paso for over 20 years & also keeping the sound of groove metal alive in honor of their friends Dimebag Darrell & Vinnie Paul:

Cigarettes After Sex, who after a LONG break, are finally doing a North American tour for 2022 (no El Paso dates currently unfortunately):

We also some uprising stars in the El Paso metal scene including Fusebox & Circa Arcana. Both bands have been touring & opening up for national acts on the road & here in town.

Emily Davis who is definitely a name worth knowing from El Paso, especially if you ask some of the names she's opened up for like Kyle Gass of Tenacious D or Greg Gaffin from Bad Religion.

And it wouldn't be an El Paso celebration without our very own Jim Ward, who's currently on tour his band Sparta who's opening up for The Get Up Kids. And that's just a few of the local artists you'll hear this weekend for Q-Connected.

We'll also get ready for one of the biggest Speaking Rock shows we have happening August 27th: Papa Roach, Falling In Reverse, Hollywood Undead & Bad Wolves. We'll hear a song from not one, not two, but ALL FOUR bands to get us ready.

If you're an artist from El Paso, or within 200 miles of El Paso, you can send in your music for the next Q Connected right HERE or send me an email at daniel.paulus@townsquaremedia.com

Join me for Q Connected every Sunday, 5-7p, on 95.5 KLAQ.
