2024 was totally "the year of the collaborations". A lot of band members took up side gigs. Not to be outdone, two OG El Paso bands are doing it.

A lot of national band members hooked up last year like Dorothy and Slash, (Tombstone Town), Halestorm and I Prevail, (Can You See Me In The Dark?), Jelly Roll and Falling In Reverse, (All My Life), The Funeral Portrait and Ivan Moody, (Holy Water), just to name a few.

Now there's been a local mashup that fans of 2 very different genres are going to love. Some incredibly talented and very well known local musicians have hooked up in a way that, trust me, nobody saw coming.

Fungi Mungle have been El Paso's go to party band forever. Cranking out a mix of funk, disco, soul and a little classic rock here and there, they don't just play great music; they put on a great show too.

The outfits, the wigs, the attitude and the swagger, along with great lighting, sound and video takes you back in time and will have you dancing and boogy-ing all the while.

On the other side of the coin, lies another legendary El Paso group. Also known for great performances, attitude, swagger and a teeny touch of funk, the undisputed kings of Psycho, Punko, Metal Groove - Pissing Razors.

How The Hell Did This Happen?

Finding themselves in need of a drummer, Fungi Mungle reached out to their longtime sound company, Krank Audio. Kranks owner and Pissing Razors cofounder, Eddy Razor, is one helluva drummer who, after running Fungi's sound for so long, knew their set inside and out.

A few Black Tooth Grins later and, voila ... Eddy is now Eddy Mungle Razor and a crazy new chapter for everyone has begun. Don't miss this, it's going to be an epic run. The big question now is, when does Ed get his wig??
