These El Paso Rockers Are Making Serious Noise Nationally
This is a wonderful time for musicians in the El Paso scene; we've seen local musicians perform on national television (like Krystall Poppin & Julian Kalel) & now recently we've had one of our local rock bands crack the Billboard charts in May of 2026.
The Roulettes from El Paso became the recent local band to crack the Billboard charts
On May 26, 2026, the band's page announced on social media that their song "Take (A Little More)" has reached the Luminate/Billboard’s Top 50 Rock Songs chart. Thanks to the amount of people who have streamed the song online or purchased the song, "Take (A Little More)" can be seen right next to some hugely recognizable songs by Nickelback, Arctic Monkeys & Linkin Park.
The song first cracked the Billboard charts at #121 before it topped the top #100. Currently it's settled at #47.
The song was featured on their self-titled debut album released in October 2025 & was produced by two Grammy awarding winning musicians from El Paso; sound engineer Gabe Esparza & producer Roger Argenis. The album itself was recorded at the legendary Sonic Ranch studios in Tornillo.
When asked how the band felt about this huge accomplishment, lead singer, Juan Flores said that "We’ve spent years believing in this music, and seeing people from our hometown support us at this level is honestly surreal. El Paso has been behind us from day one."
The band also gave this heartfelt message to their fans: "We’re incredibly thankful to everyone streaming the music, coming to the shows, sharing our songs, and believing in what we’re building."
The Roulettes recently worked with Roger & Gabe again to record an acoustic video for "Take (A Little More)" as the band is preparing for the appearance at Cool Canyon Nights on July 2 & Fright Fest 2026 on October 25.
Have other artists from El Paso reached the BIllboard charts?
Yes we've seen a few.
- Cigarettes After Sex, for example, had at least 3 songs cracked the Billboard 200 with "X's" being the highest at #32.
- At the Drive In's Relationship of Command cracked #116 on the Billboard's 200 album charts.
- The Mars Volta's "The Widow" reached #96 on the Billboard Hot 100,
- Last but not least, Khalid, who has grown up here in El Paso, has SO many songs that have charted. You'll have to see the full list here.
Huge congrats to The Roulettes & their team, and to Roger & Gabe for their hard work producing the song (and album!).
