Happy April Fool's Day! Buzz Adams and Fernando Cuevas are taking the show on the road to my hometown hangout spot, Flicks Pizza in Fabens, TX. Buzz made the announcement Monday that the show would be leaving El Paso and technically, it is. For one day only, the show will broadcast from Fabens and you will have a chance to win a Dave Chappelle tickets and tickets for both days of Streetfest!

Come celebrate April Fool's Day with Buzz, Fernie and myself and register to win tickets to Dave Chappelle's performance tonight and tickets to both days of StreetFest. You don't have to be present to win, but you do have to drive all the way down to Flicks and sign up! Don't worry, the drive will be worth it and you can have pizza for breakfast with us! You can even try to devour their famous "MEGA PIZZA!"

Some people think I live 100 miles away, or just like to act like I am a martian when I mention my hometown. Fabens is out of El Paso city limits and according to Google Maps, is 29.1 miles away. If you listen to the morning show daily, you have probably heard at least one the jokes Buzz, Fernie and Mando like to make about how lame Fabens is.

I will have to agree, we don't have much to do but I truly love my hometown. I grew up being all about school events and hanging out with friends at the local restaurants like Flicks Pizza, Pop's Better Burger, and McDonald's. Yes, we do have one of those, too.

We have a few things around town that people can check out like parks for the kids and we even have a patriotic skate park! I have no idea who decided to paint it that way, but this is 'Merica and I don't question it.

You can also stop by Lara's Bar, Rodarte's and Margarita's to have some great food, drinks and a good conversation with some local Fabenites. You can also pick up some local honey to take home from Ceballos Honey and take a photo of the famous Giant Fabens Rooster. I still have no idea how he got there, or why he is there but everyone loves him. He even has his own Facebook.

Of course, what my town is most known for is Cattleman's Steakhouse. Everyone usually comes all the way out here to go to one of the top steakhouses in America, so people usually turn left at the Fabens exit, instead of coming right into Fabens.

Make some time to at least make the road trip out once, whenever you need to go out for a cruise. You will be surprise how comfortable you will feel being here, especially after stuffing yourself full of delicious pizza!
