Who the Morning Show Would Be in the Movie ‘Scream’

"Scream", the fifth installment to the franchise was released this past weekend and as a horror fan, I, of course, saw it over the weekend.

"Scream"- the original, is actually my favorite horror movie. I got to see it in theaters back in 1996 when I was just seven years old- it frightened me but also awakened a love of horror and slasher movies in me; I also didn't answer the house phone for weeks after that.

This new installment, was great- I might be a little biased; but over on Rotten Tomatoes it has a 75% critics score and an 84% audience score- so maybe I'm not alone in liking the movie.

Because it is my favorite horror movie, and because this new installment is crushing it at the box office, I figured this would be a great time to figure out who the Morning Show would be in the "Scream" movies. Here's what I came up with:

Lisa

Lisa gets the honor of being the first kill. She would be the hot girl that gets killed in the opening scene. She'd be the one to set off the chain of events and would make a killer intro to the movie.

Joanna 

As the resident horror lover, I would be the horror nerd that explains the rules to surviving a horror movie. I'd be the one who takes it seriously and would survive- not unscathed- but would survive to explain the rules in each movie. As the horror nerd, I would die in the sequel.

Buzz

Buzz would be the older guy hanging out with the young kids- but also trying to figure out the mystery himself. Luckily for him, he wouldn't die- he'd be the original that goes on to the end- but unluckily for him, he'd get hurt with each instalment of the franchise. He's kind of the "Dewey" of the Morning Show "Scream" movie.

Nico

Nico would be the horror trope "too dumb to live". He'd have the most brutal kill, like Tatum did in the original, and would die after going to the basement by himself- while trying to make a joke in the face of the killer.

In the end, everyone's a suspect and we all get gutted like a fish.
