Fabens Gets Ready For The Thrilling Pan American Speedway
Fabens, Texas will soon be home to a $17 million dollar racetrack with several different tracks, space for community events, a concert venue and more.
The Pan American Speedway will be located north of Fabens and is expected to become a major tourist attraction for the area, drawing racing aficionados from all over Texas and New Mexico.
It's not exactly close to El Paso International Airport but it's an easy drive. Get on I-10 and head east - simple. The location is also easily accessible to the tons of racing fans in Mexico and South America.
Construction is expected to begin soon and the track should be up and running about a year from now.
Not Just A Racetrack
According to Pan Am Speedway, the venue will have tracks for go-karts as well as another course for cars, sports cars and other types of racing vehicles, modeled after the Circuit of the Americas tracks in Austin. There will also be garages for rent and condominiums on-site for racing enthusiasts to buy, so they can keep their sports car and other equipment by the track. - kfox
That's not all, racing fans will be able to enjoy live concerts and other events on the grounds and the area around the site has plenty of land for hotels and restaurants, allowing fans to stay right where the action is.
