After living as a bachelor in El Paso for only a few months, I think I've found a few "home hacks" that are pretty share-worthy.
In true millennial fashion, I have had roommates almost my entire adult life. Last year I FINALLY grew up and moved into a house, alone. I've finally figured it all out, however, despite some initial setbacks ( I'm looking at you, non-existent dining room table) here are FOUR of my hard-learned home hacks that may be relevant to a few folks.
1. KEY HOOK
There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to find your keys, especially when you're late to work. So, I solved this problem by just having a hook completely dedicated to keys in an open and visible space. It's saved my a** several times.
2. MAMA'S SALSAS
Do you know that feeling you get when making a quesadilla, with the old tortillas from the back of the fridge, with the questionable cheese, and then realizing you have no chile or salsa? "How am I supposed to eat this garbage now?" you may ask. Well, no worries because Walmart is there to save the day. They've got all the local salsas and chiles, so you'll feel like momma is right in the kitchen.
3. COASTER MAGIC
It may sound obvious... but drink rings are a bitch to clean. Get yourself some coasters on the cheap.
4. PLACEMAT "A LA" MACGYVER
The newspaper placemat is one of the greatest inventions of all bachelordom. Behold, and be amazed.
For sale $9.99 each.
