El Paso Teen Vendors Can Take the Spotlight at TeenTober
Do you have a teen with a side hustle? Maybe they're an artist, a baker, a crafter or they've already turned one of their hobbies into a little business.
If so, listen up, because the El Paso Public Library is looking for them!
TeenTober Fest is back this October, and one of my favorite things about attending last year's event was seeing just how many talented young El Paso entrepreneurs were already out there doing their thing.
TeenTober Fest Returns to El Paso This October
The El Paso Public Library's TeenTober Fest is happening Saturday, October 17, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Judge Marquez Branch Library, 610 N. Yarbrough.
The event is all about giving El Paso teens a place to hang out, get involved and show off what they can do- and right now, organizers are looking for teens who want to be part of it.
That includes exhibitors, performers, teen groups, volunteers, cheer groups, bands and school mariachi groups.
But one group I'm especially excited to see return? El Paso's teen entrepreneurs!
El Paso's Teen Entrepreneurs Seriously Impressed Me Last Year
I went to TeenTober Fest last year, and I didn't really know what to expect from the vendors.
Then I started walking around.
There were young artists selling their artwork, teens who had made friendship bracelets and other crafts, and even young pastry chefs selling their desserts. Yes, these teens had some help from the adults in their lives, but they were the ones putting their creativity and entrepreneurial skills on display.
And I was seriously impressed.
These weren't just kids who threw something together for an afternoon. You could tell that many of them had put real time, creativity and effort into what they were selling.
El Paso teens have some serious creative talent and some pretty impressive business skills, too!

Here's How Your Business-Savvy Teen Can Get Involved
If you've got a teen at home who is always making something, selling something or dreaming up their next side hustle, TeenTober Fest could be their chance to put those skills in the spotlight.
The El Paso Public Library is currently looking for participants for this year's event, so now is the time to get them signed up.
And even if your teen isn't an entrepreneur, there are plenty of other ways to participate. Performers, bands, mariachi groups, cheer groups, teen organizations and volunteers are also being invited to get involved.

Last year's TeenTober Fest showed me that El Paso has no shortage of talented teenagers. Some of them aren't even waiting until adulthood to start creating, selling and building something of their own.
So, if there's a future artist, baker, business owner or entrepreneur living under your roof, don't let them sleep on this one.
They might just belong behind one of those TeenTober booths this year!
