Back to the far east for another great horror film, and back into the vampire realm. Nothing sparkly here, sorry. This is from Chan-Wook Park, the guy made the Vengeance Trilogy of Lady Vengeance, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and the amazingly disturbing Oldboy.

The movies that made Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi cult heroes, the Evil Dead series combines camp, schlock and horror into a fast-paced, impossible-to-stop-watching series of films. Yes, the first two movies were basically the same film, but watching both is still a really good time!

"From the director of Animal House" probably wasn't the best way to introduce people to a horror movie, but I guess in 1981, that was his selling point. What people got, instead of a food fight, was one of the most creative werewolf (or horror) movies that's been made.

Yet another horror movie entry from the mind of Clive Barker, this movie comes from a book called "Cabal". Twisting the good guys and bad guys around, this movie makes the non-humans and "devils" into the good guys, and brings director David Cronenberg in as the real baddie of the movie.

Sixteen days into the best month of the year, and we come to a fantastic movie I discovered on Netflix. It kept popping up in the suggested movies list whenever I'd watch other horror films, so I finally decided to give it a shot. I am really glad I did, this movie is awesome!

The celebration of horror continues throughout October, and I've been getting some great horror movie suggestions. Here are some more really good ones.

Gabriel Byrne is always good. It pretty much doesn't matter what he's doing, whether it's his role in The Usual Suspects, playing the Devil in End of Days or playing the priest with problems in Stigmata. This is a film that gets overlooked by people for whatever reason, but it's got some good creep to it. Check it out.

Back to the Asian extreme stuff for day 14. There are some absolutely insane movies out that you really have to see. They'll do stuff over there that theater-goers here in the US would probably freak out over. This is a creepy movie. What else can I say? Even the main character isn't good. It's nice when things go south for him, really.

This is a fun movie, it's not incredibly scary, but it has some cool scary bits in it, as well as some humor and odd behavior in it. When I was about 9 years young my brothers and I went to a friends house to watch scary movies. We saw one that, by todays standards, you might find kinda cheesy. I even find it kinda cheesy. I still can't watch it though, it just freaks me out for some reason.
