Johnnie Walker
You don't hear him that much on the air...well, except for a million commercials and stuff, but mostly he hides behind the scenes, trying to make things work. He occasionally succeeds.
A bunch of new albums coming out tomorrow, including some special ones I think you should check out. In addition to Styper (and yes, Stryper is really releasing an album tomorrow), there are some really good ones due out.
Patty Campos, from our sister station KISS-FM, found something on Pinterest that said that Peeps will sword fight if you put toothpicks in them and stick them in the microwave. Of course, we couldn't let this go without trying it out.
It's me against Patty in the first Great Peep Battle. KLAQ's Blue Peep vs KISS-FM's Purple Peep. Who's going to win?
Season Two has begun of Fangoria's Blood and Guts with Scott Ian! The Anthrax guitar player began hosting episodes late last year, where he'd visit the shops of movie effects guys, and they'd kill and maim him in various ways. It's a fun show, and you get to see how these guys do the gory, crazy stuff from the movies.
Not only does Rob Zombie have a new CD coming out with one of the best titles of the year, Venemous Rat Regeneration Vendor, but he's also got another scary movie coming out! "The Lords of Salem" comes out April 19th, with the soundtrack a couple days before that. It stars Rob's wife Sheri Moon Zombie, of course, and she's got another crazy look for this film.
I'm surprised no one else has hit up Mr. Lombardo with something like this before now. This is a fantastic offer from "the world's premier unsigned western Massachusetts thrash-metal band" for Dave to join their band. They can pay him a fine salary for each gig, they have tasks already set for him, and can even get him a $20 Red Robin Gift Certificate!
A lot of people don't seem to get this whole "debt crisis" thing that's been talked about so much over the last few years. And while this is sort of political, it's not aimed at a party, so don't get your knickers in a twist. This is about all politicians, and the situation they've gotten us into. Enjoy!
I loved Kick-Ass. It's funny, gritty, violent and a little girl spews profanity like Andrew Dice Clay. Somehow that makes her dialog even more hysterical. The sequel is coming this August, and I'm pumped for it! The main peeps are back, and are bringing Jim Carrey with them! Here's the trailer, and of course, it's the Red-Band version, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Really NSFW. Really Really.
It's been many years since the destruction of the Death Star, and there have been many questions about the incident since. Of course, there are those who deny the Death Star even existed, but the deniers have never been able to explain away all the information or video footage. But what has never been explored in depth, is the likelihood of the "impossible" shot that brought the moon-sized space station down.
Could it have been an inside job?
Ladies, the next time you see a guy at a party, or a bar, or wherever, and you want to get to know him a little bit better. This is the pickup line to use. He'll instantly know you're a cool, fun, open person who isn't there to play games. It could start the most amazing relationship either of you have ever imagined; a completely transcendent, life-changing experience!
Tuesday is the release day for albums and DVDs and such here in the US, and I thought I'd start sharing some of the things coming out every week, in case you're looking for some new music to check out, or might have forgotten about some.
This is by no means a complete list, as I don't want to bore you, or myself, with a long list of crappy pop albums that always seem to be coming out.
Dear Abby,
It's something that used to be just, "Look at the size of the rock her fiancee got her as an engagement ring!", and has now become, "Jesus! Look at the size of that plastic thing on her hand!"
I will admit right now, that I am fashion illiterate.
There are a lot of new albums coming out this year, and I'm really excited for so much awesome new music! What albums are you looking forward to this year? Is you favorite band releasing something this year? Tell me about it!
