Johnnie Walker
You don't hear him that much on the air...well, except for a million commercials and stuff, but mostly he hides behind the scenes, trying to make things work. He occasionally succeeds.
In case you missed the big Sony announcement yesterday, or even if you did see it, here's everything you need to know about the new PS4. Well, except what the damn thing looks like. Just assume its a black box.
Dave Grohl's video for the new Soundgarden song puts the band in a little different light tha their previous videos. It's more light-hearted and fun, and the band isn't really known as a funny band. Even though Dave says they're really freaking funny guys. Check out how Grohl got the idea for the video, and how it came about.
Jim Root and Josh Rand from Stone Sour did an interview with Fret12, giving a cool look at what gear they're using on the road, and how they get their sounds. Guitars players will love this look at the gear, and non-guitar players will just like the humor and cool behind the scenes stuff. Enjoy!
So, I got bored and decided to do some of my show in Buzz' studio, which is probably a bad idea, considering all the crap lying around, and the sicknesses they all spread around. I found they have a lot of junk in here, and it's pretty messy. It looks like Fernie has been cleaning again, but it's still a mess.
Found this hilarious video today, and even though I'm not married, I think these are things we can all agree are some of the things that will get you killed by your wife. It's even set to the tune of Green Day's "Time of Your Life", and has some special choreography by the comedian, Tim Hawkins, too! Enjoy!
I did not know that the word Sandia actually means "umbrella", but apparently it does, since the Umbrella, I mean, Sandia National Labs and the University of New Mexico have now created the first zombie cell! This cell has all its evaporated to leave a silica-coated dead cell, that outperforms living tissue.
There's been a lot of talk on the internet about the Grammys, and their horrible hard rock/metal (lack of) support. I personally think it's ridiculous how many sub-categories for all the other genres, when they only have the one for hard rock/metal. There are always some big metal names up for the award, and only occasionally is the award given to the band the hard rock/metal community believes should win.
Valentine's Day is one of the greatest holidays ever invented! I'm totally serious about that statement, too. Billions of dollars are spent to provide happy, romantic couples with everything they need to make this random day in the middle of a month special. So many pieces of jewelry are readied, meals prepared, dresses made, and CANDY PACKAGED!
They make so much candy for today, that unless everyone on earth was happily attached and bought twelve boxes each, we'll have a huge surplus!
Tomorrow is the day. You've been dreading it, hoping she'll forget (she never does), hoping you could come up with a cool way to break up with her for a couple days to skip it and then get back together...none of these things have panned out.
So, what are you doing tomorrow night? What have you got planned to make the women (or guy) in your life happy for the big VD?
Black Veil Brides' new song "In The End" has been tearing up stuff on the air since it came out, and now there's a cool live version you can watch! These guys were Live at the Show, and AltarTV let t out for us. At the very least, this will end the speculation as to whether any of the band members are actually women, since most of them play shirtless. Ladies, this one is for you. Happy Valentine's from me to you.
On this year's 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise, some really amazing thing happened, including this performance of Ozzy's classic "Bark at the Moon"! Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil sang, the amazing Jeff Waters of Annihilator fame shredded the guitar, and the rest of the band consisted of Robert Engstrand from Turisas on keyboards, bassist Marc Lynn of Gotthard, and Janne Parviainen from Ensiferium on drums.
Once again, the conversations and posts on Facebook have made my day. One of my friends posted a link to this great video, where this rocket scientist doesn't understand why no one will help her move deer crossing signs. Those inconsiderate deer just want to cross in the wrong places, so we should move the signs, so the deer will see them somewhere with less traffic and cross there, instead.
