Wednesday on the Shredder of the Week brings us a trip back to big hair and lots of reverb. Guitar master Tony MacAlpine plays one of the songs that he released on his 1987 album Maximum Security on PolyGram...whoa, there's a name from the past, PolyGram. They died a horrible label death...eventually being absorbed into Universal Music Group.

Remember the label Shrapnel? That's where he was when I first heard Edge of Insanity, his first album. Check out Tony from back in the day, with the big hair, playing a BC Rich. He's since been through Washburn, Carvin (and probably more) and now he's playing Ibanez 8-strings.

All this week will be Tony's week for amazing shred...be on the lookout for more videos all week!
