‘You’re a Mean One, Mr. Brent’ a Parody Song Perfect for Xmas 2020

Monday night on Loudwire Nights we debuted a special song to forever document a particular event that took place just before Christmas.

On December 21st Loudwire.com posted the story of Shinedown lead singer Brent Smith’s comments regarding statements made by Dr. Anthony Fauchi, where the good doctor claimed, “I took a trip up there to the North Pole. I went there and I vaccinated Santa Claus myself.” After reading of Brent’s poo-poo of Fauchi’s claim to help ensure Santa was able to make his runs on Christmas Eve, all we could do was shake our collective heads and say- Brent, Brent, Brent.

Now understand Brent Smith is far from a troll or a conspiracy theory nut job, so maybe it’s just the stress of lockdowns and loss of touring that has distorted his ability to see the simple pleasure with feeding anticipation. Especially considering we’re talking little children here, not the general population or civic leaders of America.

Or, maybe Brent’s heart has shrunk two sizes too small due to exposure to 5G towers? Whatever the reason, there was a rock ‘n’ roll Grinch this year as Brent Smith made claim to that title after tweeting- "I’m going to go out on a limb here. Lying to society this far into a pandemic is not something I would encourage."

He included the hashtags "tell the truth" and clock is ticking."

As we questioned why Brent would you say anything to make the Clausometer reflect of dip Christmas Spirit around the world, our happy little elves came up with a song to help serve as a reminder to never be a Brent…I mean, Grinch, AND to forever mark the bizarre situation we all find ourselves in this Christmas 2020!
