Village Vibes Music Fest Coming To Vinton

September 30th, the Village Vibes Music Fest takes place in Vinton, featuring Latin Grammy nominees The Chamanas.  Here are the other acts:

Tickets are $5 - $15, you can buy them here, kids under 4 are free. The Festival takes place at Dr. Applegate Park, 7966 Quejette Road, in Vinton Texas. Why does the event exist?  According to the events website:

Despite the robust agricultural community that surrounds Vinton, residents live in a food desert where fresh, affordable, nutritious food is difficult to obtain without access to a vehicle. In addition to raising much needed funds to support the community garden and learning center, the Village Vibes Music Festival aims to build public awareness of the importance of establishing a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
