After a series of tweets recognizing the Athletics Hall of Fame class of 2020, UTEP revealed its full list of inductees on Wednesday.

This year's class includes the 2000 Western Athletic Conference Champion Football Team, Jeep Jackson (men’s basketball), Tanja Magoc (tennis), Lee Mays (football), Holly Russ (women’s basketball) and Jami Tullius (soccer).

Per UTEP athletics, the 2020 class will be honored at some point during the 2020-21 athletic year, but no date solidified yet.

Highlighting the class is Jackson, who spearheaded the 80s for UTEP men's basketball. He helped the Miners reach 101 wins, four league championships and four NCAA Tournament bids from 1983-87. He tragically passed away after his senior season and the #22 jersey has been retired since.

The entire 2000 Miner football is also on this list, which is UTEP's only WAC championship in football. The team finished with an 8-4 overall record under head coach Gary Nord and the team went to the Humanitarian Bowl. Quarterback Rocky Perez led the team with 2,661 passing yards and 26 touchdowns.

Magoc is the first member of the UTEP tennis team to earn the Hall of Fame recognition, starring at UTEP from 1997-2000. She became the only player in program history to reach the NCAA Championships (98).

Along with Perez, one of the other special stars of the 2000s team was Mays, who led the country with 15 touchdown receptions in that season. Mays is the second-leading receiving leader in program history with 2,908 yards. Mays played for Pittsburgh in the NFL.

For women's basketball, Russ became the only player in program history to surpass 1,000 points in just two seasons (1,068 points). She still holds the school record for single-game scoring (40 vs. UTSA in 1991).

And lastly, Tullius was an internal member of the UTEP soccer team from 2004-07. She ended her college career as the program leader in goals (47) and points (112). The El Paso native helped the 2005 team advance to the NCAA Tournament and led a valiant comeback against Texas in a first-round victory (3-2).
