I've been born and raised in the city of El Paso, where I graduated from Franklin High School in 2015 and am set to graduate from UTEP in 2019. After graduating high school, I embarked upon a sports journalism route in college at UTEP's student publication, The Prospector, where I served as Sports Editor, Editor-in-Chief and Web Editor for a span of four years. For the last four years, I have been covering UTEP, the Chihuahuas, prep sports and just about everything in the Sun City. Before entering my junior year in college, I took my LSAT and was set for law school upon graduation. That quickly changed with opportunities that I received at 600 ESPN, where I have found my new home. My favorite teams are the Los Angeles Rams, Boston Celtics, and the St. Louis Cardinals. I enjoy writing, reading books, watching movies and playing basketball during my free time. I love the city of El Paso!
Locomotive FC Name Cancer Patient Amber Berry Player for the Day
Today, El Paso Locomotive FC signed Amber Berry, an 11-year-old warrior and patient of the Hospitals of Providence, to be the Locomotive Player for a Day. Berry has battled leukemia since Nov. 16, 2016, and has been through over 54 treatments following her diagnosis.
