When it comes to "cold cases", El Paso has many. This one is super gruesome and it happened 2 other times in 2 other parts of Texas. None Of which were ever solved.

El Paso has lots of mysteries including the Patterson disappearance in the 50's and the unsolved murder of an FBI agent over 90 years ago.

The most gruesome, solved murder happened in 1995 and led to KVIA showing a dismembered head on tv to get info. The most gruesome, unsolved murder also involved body parts scattered around El Paso in 1959.

What Was In The Suitcase Pulled From The Rio Grande?

The suitcase contained a headless and handless torso that had been skinned and wrapped in newspaper from the day before.  The Sheriff called it "the most brutal murder in El Paso history" and launched an investigation to ID the victim and track down the killer that would span several states.

More Body Parts Were Found Near The Rio Grande

Over the next weeks, more body parts surfaced downstream and across the desert near Tularosa. Each discovery added a new layer of horror — feet in a sandwich box, organs in a cereal carton, and hands packed in plastic and left in the sand. Every clue pointed to someone who knew anatomy and took their time. - open.spotify

This case was never solved and, sadly, it would not be the only one. The killer apparently moved on to other parts of Texas where more victims were found, each killed and cut up in the same, meticulous fashion.
