El Paso Is Getting Two New Bagel Shops
I'm a bagel person. Whether it's a classic everything bagel with cream cheese or a loaded breakfast sandwich, I'm almost always going to say yes to bagels
The good news is El Paso already has some great local spots when that craving hits. But I'm never going to complain about having even more options, especially after seeing two new bagel concepts announced just days apart. If you're anything like me, there are mornings when only a good bagel will do, and it looks like we'll soon have two more places to choose from.
Within days of each other, social media brought announcements for two different bagel shops that are making their way to El Paso. They're two very different concepts, but together they're another sign that the Borderland's food scene just keeps getting better.
Meet The Two New Bagel Shops Coming To El Paso
The first announcement came from a promotional video for a new destination coming to Central El Paso introduced several locally owned businesses that will call the development home, including Bird Bagels, a brand-new local bagel concept.

Just a few days later came another bagel surprise. This time, from Feller Bagels, a popular bagel shop in Juárez that revealed it's officially expanding across the border with plans to open its first El Paso location.
While the announcement didn't share an opening date or many additional details, it didn't take long for the news to get people talking. For anyone who's already made the trip to Juárez for one of their bagels, the thought of having a location in El Paso is pretty exciting.
There are still plenty of details to come for both establishments, but seeing two announcements arrive almost back-to-back definitely caught my attention.

Two Different Stories, One Great Trend
One of the things I love most about these announcements is that they each tell a different story.
Feller Bagels already has a loyal following in Juárez, making its move into El Paso another reminder of how connected our Borderland food scene really is.
Bird Bagels, on the other hand, is something entirely new- a local concept that's getting ready to make its debut as part of an exciting new gathering place for locally run businesses.
They're taking different paths to El Paso, but both are adding something fresh to the city's breakfast lineup.
More Breakfast Options Are Always A Win
One of my favorite things about El Paso's food scene is that it never feels like it's standing still.
New restaurants continue to open, longtime local favorites keep thriving, and every now and then, something unexpected pops up that gets people talking.
Whether you already have a favorite place to grab a bagel or you're always looking for your next breakfast spot, having more locally owned businesses to support is something worth getting excited about.
Needless to say, I'll be checking out both of them once they open. Because in my book, there's always room for one more great bagel spot!
