You can watch concerts deep within this Texas cave
Yes if you ever wanted to attend a concert, underground, the Cave Without a Name in Boerne does just that. The cave discovered in 1938 & has remained open for nearly 90 years. Not many concert venues can say they come with a tour guide but this one does. The Cave Without A Name was also featured on the Texas Bucket List in 2019.
You can play in this ghost town theater in Terlingua
For being a ghost town, the Starlight Theater shows that it can get quite lively once the music starts playing. The theater first opened up in the early 1900s as an entertainment venue for local miners until it was abandoned in the 30's. The theater reopened in the 1960s and the rest is history...literally.
This Austin airport offers concerts for travelers
Located at the Barbara Jordon terminal at the Austin-Bergstorm International Airport puts on concerts for people who waiting in between flights. This is all thanks to the Music in the Air program as they put on concerts every Monday through Friday. You'll most likely catch the band Asleep at the Wheel at this particular airport. Sometimes you might even catch a concert ON that same plane leaving Austin.
This Houston Flight Museum regularly hosts concerts
While we're on the topic of airplanes, the Lone Star Flight Museum in Houston allows you to enjoy listening to music while you're standing next to the biggest aircraft on display.
And of course...who can forget the Texas Denny's concert?
Yeah you knew this was coming. This iconic piece of concert history is thanks to the Houston metalcore band, Live Without. They played an impromptu show at a local Denny's in 2013. The Denny's was about to close so management allowed the band to play their banquet hall.
13 years later, the band AND Denny's did a music video collab for a new burger that was added to menu to commemorate that iconic moment. While currently Denny's doesn't host regular concerts. But MAYBE they could, if you asked nicely...
These places prove that you can catch live music anywhere, even where you least expect it.
