The next round of stimulus checks has been approved so, watch your bank "stocking" for your gift from Congress.

I guess the federal reserve is feeling the COVID 19 pandemic crunch too as we are taking a bit of a pay cut this time. Instead of $1200 like last time, this check will only be for $600. That is a bummer but, I'll take it.

The checks will go to anyone with a social security number and families with a non-SS number holding member can still get paid. (Previously, even one non-SS # holder disqualified the entire household.) The checks start going out this week and must all be distributed by January 15th, 2021. If you have a bank account, you probably don't need to do anything except watch for the money to arrive which should be just about the time your Christmas credit card bills start rolling in.

Pretty much anyone who paid taxes last year and their children are eligible, as long as the youngsters are under 17. (The kids actually get a raise this time, from the previous $500 to $600.) Dead people will be paid too if they were alive at any point in 2020. Their survivors can collect this money as well as the last payment if they have not already gotten it. (politico.com)

If you don't have a bank account but got the last payment, the IRS still has that info so you should be ok. If anything has changed, you may want to let them know.
