Texas has never really believed in the phrase "good enough."

Bigger trucks, bigger stadiums, bigger portions, bigger hair- so naturally when it came time to build a new roller coaster, Texas looked at regular rides and decided they simply weren't thrilling enough.

And for roller coaster lovers already planning summer adventures and road trips? This may have just earned a spot on the bucket list.

Texas Roller Coaster Lovers Have A New Summer Destination

A new roller coaster coming to Six Flags Over Texas is set to break six world records, and after seeing the numbers, I’m starting to think somebody got a little carried away.

The new ride, Tormenta Rampaging Run, will become the world's first giga dive coaster- which already sounds intimidating enough- while also setting multiple records in the process!

And by "giga," they mean giant!

We're talking a massive 309-foot climb before riders plunge down a beyond-vertical 95-degree drop at speeds reaching nearly 90 miles per hour.

New Texas Coaster Could Become A Summer Bucket List Stop

For roller coaster fans, this feels like exactly the kind of attraction that suddenly becomes the reason for a summer trip.

Because once a ride starts collecting world records, it stops being "something to do if you're nearby" and starts entering "okay, maybe we should plan a weekend around this" territory.

Especially in Texas, where summer road trips are basically a tradition.

Whether it's a quick getaway, a family trip, or a "we're getting in the car and figuring it out later" weekend, travelers already know a good excuse for a road trip when they see one.

A giant, record-breaking roller coaster definitely qualifies.

Texas Is Taking Summer Thrills To New Heights

The ride isn't just tall. It's collecting world records like Pokémon cards.

Tormenta will reportedly become the tallest, fastest and longest dive coaster in the world while also featuring the tallest vertical loop ever built.

Now, there might people who see a 309-foot roller coaster and immediately think:

"That looks amazing."

And then there are people like me who start calculating emergency exit options before the ride even leaves the station. I wasn’t like this, I swear! I just got older!

Still, for roller coaster lovers and thrill seekers, this feels like the kind of attraction that could become one of Texas' biggest summer stops.

Even if some of us are perfectly happy admiring it from the parking lot.
