Gas Pump No-No's
- Pull up next to the pump you want and position yourself properly. Don't stop so far back, (or forward) that you block another pump.
- Pull up to the farthest pump. If there are 2 - 3 and they're al free; go to the far one.
- Don't make a mess. If you spill fuel, tell a store employee so they can clean it up. Fuel spills are dangerous, slippery and can leave your car smelling like gas for the whole trip.
- Don't park at a pump unless you're actually buying gas. If you're just playing the lottery, getting a snack or a tall boy; use a parking space.
- When You're through at the pump, leave.
In Store Behavior
While we're on the subject, if you do go inside the store, keep these things in mind:
- If you don't know how to use the self checkout, don't ... just go to the clerk.
- If you're getting age restricted items, don't use the self checkout. You'll have to wait for the clerk to check your ID and whoever's next at the counter will have to wait for you.
- Yes, they're going to check your ID so have it ready.
- Know which lotto numbers and/or scratch offs you want before you get to the counter. There's a zillion options and the rest of us have s**t to do.
Last one - If you still write checks, stay home.
